MUSICAL THEATRE

Become a triple threat in today’s demanding entertainment industry. This style cultivates the skills needed to Dance, Sing & Act! The emphasis is on fun and building confidence. Learn the same principals that currently exist within the curriculum of the Musical Theatre Degree from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (What the infamous Hugh Jackman studied!). Repertoire will be selected from classic musicals such as Cats, Grease, Wicked, West Side Story & Chicago to more modern musicals covering Charlie & The Chocolate Factory & Muriel’s Wedding the Musical.

The theatre component will overlap character to performance and a guest vocal coach will be brought in to match a piece of repertoire to the student’s vocal ability. By the end of the course, you will have a catered piece of dance, script & song repertoire that brings out the best in you so you are prepared for any upcoming auditions.
